Re: Contact for Nick Shore

Does anyone know how to get hold of Nick, the developer of Macdive? I am looking to help keep the program running. Sadly (or not), it seems family, work, and day-to-day life has prioritized Nick away from MacDive. While he has been asked here and via email to considering either turning the code ove...

Dropbox Synch: Workaround 🤔

Have any users found a work around for synching new devices via Dropbox. My wife and I use a shared Dropbox for synching our logs and sadly are unable to do so on new iPads. It’s becoming very frustrating having to do everything on smaller screen phones. @Nick - I know life has taken you into differ...

I’ve been very busy recently. New job, moved cities, kids, life. Sorry for being quiet.
Nick. It’s so good to hear you are around and that ‘life”, hopefully good and enjoyable, is what’s kept you busy elsewhere. Your presence has certainly been missed.

Re: iOS app discontinued?

Any suggestions how to synch a new device (iPad in this case) via Dropbox using existing account and data? The app just hangs every time a synch is attempted. Phones with existing account and already synched work fine fortunately.

Thanks.

Re: iOS 26 compatibility

New installations with Dropbox synch have not worked in over a year.

Support is dead for this app unfortunately.

Why will the admins not comment or make reference to ANY updates/fixes.

Re: Registration

Hey, I had the same issue. Reinstalling the app and signing in with my original email fixed the registration and sync problem for me. Are you synching with iCloud or Dropbox. It seems that Dropbox is dead for new installations… Yes, as others have commented, sadly it seems the project is dead witho...

Re: Unable to sync to dropbox with iPhone

Sadly, it seems that Nick and anyone else has folded on MacDive support, maybe due to other life events/priorities. Sadly, they won’t say anything publicly and as far as I know are still ‘selling’ the app. Dropbox has had issues for quiet awhile that many of us have asked please get some developer t...

Re: 2025 are the mobile app and desktop versions still working ?

Sadly, it seems time for replacement apps — I am very surprised that Nick or the other administrator refuses to update the community one way or the other (dead or alive). Put the code out on GitHub or another repository and see if someone will pick it up. To just ghost the entire community is far fr...

Re: Will MacDive has a future?

Sadly, for many of us who have used and supported the app for years, it does seem that it has been abandoned. This is really unfortunate and I do wish Nick had been able to either find another developer to take it over, make it public domain so maybe someone will step up, or at least provide those o...
