Auto calculation of surface interval?
Auto calculation of surface interval?
Just wondering if you have any designs on having Mac Dive compute surface intervals automatically if it detects repetitive dives. (As entered in the appropriate place).

Re: Auto calculation of surface interval?
I assume you mean for manually entered dives?
I hadn't thought about it, no. I can definitely look at it at some point though.

Re: Auto calculation of surface interval?
Manually entered and I guess dives with profile data that was not directly downloaded from a computer. For example, dives with profile data that was acquired via UDDF/UDCV import. Not critical obviously, but it could be a nice to have for us folks who are transitioning old data from other packages. Thanks!

Re: Auto calculation of surface interval?
Hi Nick,
I've recently purchased MacDive & Mares Puck.
I've downloaded all my dives, everything OK.
Scene:
Friday = 2 dives
Saturday = 2 dives
Sunday = 2 dives
For the Friday dives, I have Dive 1 and Dive 2 (as a repetitive dive) and surface interval is calculated.
Same happens for Saturdays's dives (Dive 3 and Dive 4). My problem is for Sunday's dives, they both appear as dive number 1 of that day, so the second one isn't repetitive dive from the first one, so surface interval isn't calculated. If I manually select repetitive n2 for the second dive, surface interval is still not automatically calculated.
Would it be posible for surface interval to be calculated automatically even if you manually edit the repetitive list?
Example:
Dive 1:
- Start: Sunday 24 Oct 10:00am
- Dive time: 45min
- Repetitive dive: 1
- Surface Interval: 00:00
Dive 2:
- Start: Sunday 24 Oct 12:15pm
- Dive time: 30min
- Repetitive dive: 1
- Surface Interval: 00:00
If I select "Repetitive dive: 2" on Dive 2, Surface Interval for Dive 2 could automatically be set to: 1:30
¿Is this possible?
Im not sure if what I'm asking is already coded into MacDive and It's just I need more knowledge on the usage.
Thanks in advanced,
Joel.

Re: Auto calculation of surface interval?
Could you follow the test instructions and send me a memory dump ?
That should be working correctly.
