v2.2.6 and Shearwater Petrel

Hay,

I'm running the latest version and OSX Mavericks and I can't download dive data from my Shearwater.
I've removed and repaired the Shearwater in my Bluetooth settings.

The error message is: Failed to read dive computer memory. Error code -8

I also tried telling Mac Dive that it was a Predator but the download showed the correct depth but only half the dive time.
Any ideas?

I've noticed one annoying thing with the Petrel: It silently won't upload any dives if the battery is low. So, if it is, try again with a fresh battery.

Will it still let you go to Upload Log and start counting down, then just not work? Is there any indication on the device that things aren't working as expected?

Everything looks normal, except that the Bluetooth icon on the Mac doesn't switch to "transfer mode". I've informed Shearwater about it .
