Hi
I am new in the forum. After vacation 4 dives are missing and it's not possible to import these. Two dives before i went and the first two at vacation. As a new user with this tool I have deleted everything the whole Mac dive program and made a new installation. Now whats happened, even the older dives are missing and it's not possible to import. On the cobalt are 48 dives so it should be possible to download everything new.
The folders in the Library were deleted too.
When I am going to download all dives, the message appears (Unable device e002c5) or a second hint make firmware update.
If I am making the firmware update after the dialog box appears I cannot find the cobalt device with the file named .hex!
The USB connection is working and on cobalt screen shows connected.
I am using i'mac with OS 10.6.8 and on Cobalt V.1.13/2 with Mac Dive Version 2.1.5
Please let me know your support.
Best regards Martin

Re: Download Date Cobalt
You probably just need to disable USB mode on the Cobalt and then re-enable it, and do the download. Sometimes things aren't cleaned up properly and it just needs to be reset.
Re: Download Date Cobalt
I have done it disconnect and connect USB again but it doesn't work. Also I deleted the dives and it still download only the last 23 dives after it stops downloading but the sign (running signal is still running left side) what does it means that a process is still in progress and it could not found more?
What you thing about the other issue. That the cobalt does not appear at the devices when I whant to do the Cobald Update?
Thanks

Re: Download Date Cobalt
If the download is complete, it will say "Successfully downloaded X dives". Otherwise you will get an error. Anything else is unexpected - so what is happening? Do you see a completion message? Do you get an error? Or does it hang?
If it's the latter, you will need to open your Console (Applications -> Utilities -> Console), filter by macdive, and then email me everything that is in there. (Please email rather than posting crash reports/debug info). If the download is complete, then there isn't a problem.
As for the firmware update, sorry, this is not written or maintained by me - it is supported by Atomic. You should email them. Ron is very good at replying to people but I'm not sure what the issue is.

Re: Download Date Cobalt
Martin, I saw your question about updating the firmware, which is a separate application from Atomic.

Here is a link to the download page for Mac users: http://www.atomicaquatics.com/cobalt_software_m.html You will need to download both the application (which it sounds like you have done) and register and download the firmware file with the .hex extension. The latest version currently on the website is 1.13, however a new version may be posted soon.

What you need to find when the firmware updater asks you to locate the .hex file is the location on you Mac where you saved the firmware file from the Atomic website- it's a file, not a device, and will have a .hex extension. You need to navigate to and select this file from within the dialog window that pops up, so the update program can find it. Once you do, and if the Cobalt shows the "connected" message, the firmware update process will commence. Here are instructions on the web: http://www.atomicaquatics.com/cobalt_install_mac.htmlIf I am making the firmware update after the dialog box appears I cannot find the cobalt device with the file named .hex!

Re: Download Date Cobalt
Didn't you email me about the hanging?
I sent you a new beta to try so you could send me the output. I am waiting to hear back from you.

Re: Download Date Cobalt
Yesterday I dived and the download was working great. After I made the firmware update some dives on the cobalt were anyway deleted. There are only 15dives left all others are away. And so the program and download after restart is not hanging anymore.
Means at the moment the task is solved. Thanks for the great support and help.
