Suunto Stinger & downloading to a MacBook Pro OS X Yosemite
Suunto Stinger & downloading to a MacBook Pro OS X Yosemite
After trying to work with Suunto's DM5 and failing I'm trying MacDive. I downloaded and installed the program and recommended drivers but the MacBook Pro (OS X Yosemite) isn't seeing the Stinger. I think the computer isn't recognizing the USB port I have the Suunto ACW unit plugged into because I don't see the dive computer listed in the Finder. MacDive tells me 'Input error Could not detect a valid serial port'. I'm not much of a geek but can get into using Terminal to get info. I have in the past and can again if necessary. I'm thinking this is something I'm not doing or downloaded so any help would be appreciated. MacDive looks to be a great program to log my dives. Thanks for any help/advice! Barney

Hi there,
Apologies for the delay. What USB driver did you install?
You won't see anything pop up in the finder, it all kind of happens behind the scenes.
