Hi,
after updating to Mavericks I'm no longer able to download dives from my Mares Icon HD.
MacDive (V.2.26) is not able to find any serial ports during a scan via preferences/advanced. When checking the OS for connected devices via the Terminal app I can't see any USB or serial entry for my Icon HD, either.
When trying to download dives with the old old settings (/dev/tty.usbmodem01234561) I get an import error with error code "-6" (failed to conned to dive computer on serial port). The update to OS X 10.9.1 did not help.
Any suggestions?
Best regards, Marc

Have you tried Divers Diary to confirm it still downloads there and that there is no issue with the cable?
I've not had any other reports of problems with the Icon HD, which is a pretty popular device.

I use MacDive with the Icon HD Net Ready, and am on OSX 10.9 and have no issues. There may be some other issue at play here.

Same for me the Preferences-Advanced-Scan dialogue reports: "No serial ports found". In fact it's as though the port scan does not initiate!
The Suunto Sports Instrument does show up in my System Report USB tree device list. Is there a driver update? Is there a command line fix?
Thanks

Hi,
The Icon HD does not require a driver. Suunto devices do. Most likely you didn't install the driver:

I had the drivers on my old MacBookAir - it worked fine on it. The 2.2.18 drivers only go to 10.7, and my Mac says "Can't be opened because it's from an unidentified developer"

Hi guys,
thanks for your suggestions. In my case the error was with the USB cable.
Charging still worked but not the communication with my MacBook.
Cheers, Marc

The 10_7 one is correct. Right click on it and choose open, instead of double-clicking.Machead wrote:I had the drivers on my old MacBookAir - it worked fine on it. The 2.2.18 drivers only go to 10.7, and my Mac says "Can't be opened because it's from an unidentified developer"
