Oceanic algorithm

Post by Nick Barter »

A small issue that you may be able to fix:

When I download from an Oceanic Atom 3.0 which has the dual algorithm feature the algorithm is always recorded in Macdive as Pelagic Z+ even though the dive was performed using the standard DSAT algorithm option. I've been noticing this all year but have only just got round to comment on it ;)

I can certainly look at this. Can you follow the test instructions:

Using the "atom2" test, and email me the data, then I can have a look at it and get this added.

No problem!

For the forum, MacDive never actually read the algorithm, it simply defaulted to Z+. This was incorrect, as the default is actually DSAT, so I fixed that. Nick kindly sent me a bunch of data from his Atom and Geo, so MacDive now reads the actual algorithm that was used from those devices as it should.

If anyone else has dives available with mixed algorithms for other Oceanic devices, then please let me know and I can look at updating MacDive for those also. The current fixes will be in the next release.

Dives that have been downloaded already will be incorrectly in Z+ - you can select them all and change them via the inspector in one go, so it should be a simple fix. Apologies for that - I got the default completely the wrong way around.
