Hi
I'm new on McDive and I love the software.
I manage to download the dive installed by default on my new OSTC 2C but the computer is recognised as HW OSTC MK2 and the dive time (I've checked it's the total dive time, not the bottom time) is 30 min in the OSTC logbook and 40 min when imported in MacDive.
Is this all explained because OSTC 2C is not supported yet?
Regards,
Wolfie

Re: Incorrect dive time and computer name
MacDive reports the total duration, rather than the "bottom time" that the OSTC is displaying. If you surfaced part way through the dive, the difference will appear even larger. MacDive includes the end surface samples etc and the time spent during ascent, while the OSTC does not. So there is usually a difference on the device itself and the downloaded data.
Until recently, MacDive cut off the surface samples at the end which reduced the difference - but that causes issues if you surfaced part way through the dive.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Your clarification helped me understanding that neither MacDive nor OSTC2c were wrong
Sorry for being so late replying to you. I've tested with the sample dive that's on OSTC 2C by default. Now I'm going to test with real dives. I'll keep you informed.
