Serial Port Error
I've used MacDive to download hundreds of dives from my Atomic Aquatics Cobalt without a problem but when I attempted to download my last two dives today I received the following message: "Import Error: Could not detect a valid serial port". The face of the Cobalt reflects that it is connected so I don't know why it's not able to see the dive computer. According to the website a driver is not needed for the Cobalt so I'm unclear as to how to proceed. Please help!

Ok, disregard .... I had to go to File, Download Dives and reassign my Cobalt to MacDive. I don't know why I had to initiate a recognition protocol again but once I re-established the link to my Cobalt the dives were imported.

MacDive remembers the last device you downloaded if you choose "Download Last".
From memory that option is disabled if you have never downloaded, but maybe it defaults to the first computer on the list - in which case if you moved computers or otherwise lost your preferences, that would be why.
