What OS are you running ? What cable do you use ? What USB driver did you install ?

i am runing 10.5 os and use a usb to sub d converter and found at deriver for the converter

I assume the stinger is in pc transfer mode ?
Once you plug it in, and put it in pc transfer mode (TR_PC), go to Preferences -> Advanced. Click "Scan for serial port" and then click on the drop-down box - what's in there ?

yes it is en tranfer mode and i says start to download when it comes op wtih cannot read mem
i han selekt /dev/tty.PL2303-000011FD from the drop down menu
but ther is also /dev/tty.Si-2 and /dev/tty.Si-1
