What GPS coordinate formate is use for map locations?

Hello,

Can some one help me by telling me what GPS coordinate format is used with macdive? I put in the coordinate using this format....

45 05.58/087 19.32

I got some where around Afghanistan. The location for this dive was suposed to be in Lake Michigan.

Various formats are supported. It goes through google maps, so if you type something in it should get picked up same as there. That doesn't appear to be correct when I type it in at maps.google.com.
