Switch from Single user to Multiple user???

Post by stevenreichman »

I have MacDive 2, latest upgrade on my MacBook. I would like to have a copy on my MacBook and a copy on my iMac. Except when traveling, both are at home on the same wi-fi.
Both have Mountain Lion. Once I get this downloaded on the iMac do I just sync with IOS ? I do have my Single User License No MACDIVExxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxx. Original license is
from 6/8/11. Can I just upgrade to the multiple License for $15.00 ($40.00 - $25.00)?? I do have the MacBook synced via IOS to my iPad which is just the log Book program. I'd
like for the MacDive program on the iMac to be a full working version. Just for info,....I'm using an Atomic Cobalt dive computer. Thanks for the guidance,
SLR

The single user is fine to use on multiple computers.

Think of the multi user as a family license. So just go ahead and install your license on both computers.

Nick, This may sound really "stupid", but,...if I go in through the buy a single license, I can't get beyond the payment information.
if i download the trial version, I don't know where to enter my "single user license"
and....once I get the new version on the iMac, do I need to transfer the data from the dive computer or can I transfer from my MacBook version which already has all the variables filled in??
Thanks,
SLR

Why are you trying to pay? You said you already had a license? So just install that existing license that you already have on your new computer - the same way you installed it last time, by drag and dropping the license file on to MacDive, or by double-clicking it. I'm not sure I understand what the problem is.

This might be easier if you email me along with your order number.
