Lost Gear Photos

Post by Martin »

Updated to the latest version last week. Following the restart I lost the photos that I associated to pieces of gear and one of the Country flags has gone AWOL (GB). Try as I might I can't rectify this....any suggestions?

I made a bunch of changes to the flags, so that's my bad - what exact country do you have (how are you spelling it etc) ? There was no "GB" from memory. Do you mean Great Britain? If so, there used to be "Great Britain (UK)" as an option, but it's just UK now. I can add back a link to that if you can't bear to change the country name?

As for the gear - nothing changed with the gear or gear images. Please email me your MacDive.sqlite data file and the rest of the contents of the directory, including all of the gear images - I'll take a look. Mine are all working fine, and I didn't make any changes there so that's a curious one.

Hi Nick,

I have a problem. I've tried to find the sqlite file here: /Users/your username/Library/Application Support/MacDive/MacDive.sqlite

but there is no MacDive folder in Application Support. I've tried to find the folder in Finder but no results. I don't get it.

Preferences -> Advanced -> open data directory.

It is hidden by default on Lion+, for no good reason.

It's in the latest version, 2.1.6. Are you running that?

Otherwise, the help explains how to find that folder and your data:

Alrighty, cool. It's getting late here so I'm going to bed - I'll look at this tomorrow for you.

Thanks Nick.

To add to my woes I've just noticed that Photos previously attached to some dives are also now missing, as are the photos on my certifications; could this problem be connected?
