You'd need to be more specific about what OS you are on, which driver you downloaded and how you are trying to install it, to start with.

There's really not much info to go on here. I can assume you mean the FTDI driver given your profile says you have a Tusa. What driver (excactly) did you download? How did you try and install it ?

If you have an issue with the FTDI driver itself you would need to contact their support. They're generally very good.

Mac OS 10.7.4. Driver downloaded was the FTDI driver v2_2_17.dmg.

I double clicked on it, it asked me what drive to install it to, I chose it, and it gave me that error message.

You didn't paste the exact path, but it looks like a temporary folder. That isn't good - do you have free disk space?

Ultimately you are going to need to contact FTDI, I think - it's the correct driver. I've never seen a problem like this, but that isn't much help to you :)

I would make sure you have enough free disk space, maybe try a reboot and then attempt to install it again. Are you having any other issues with your machine in general?

There's also the installation guide -

http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Documen ... AC_OSX.pdf

Did everything up to the error look the same?

(Ignore anything D2XX related in that document.)
