Can't sync my d6i to my Macbook

I get the following message whenever I try to sync: Failed connecting to dive computer on serial port '/dev/tty.usbserial-ST000001' (Error Code: -4)

I have a Suunto D6i, I use a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard and using the original Suunto USB cable. I have installed the FTDI USB Serial Driver ver. 2.17.

Still no luck. Any suggestions?

Also since I only recently started diving I manually inputed the dives I did before I got my D6i. But when I launched MacDive, the order of my dives was all mixed up. Will I have to manually renumber my dives once I am able to sync my d6i or will it automatically number them correctly?

It's the wrong USB cable.
