Hallo,
brand new user here, so maybe I am looking in the wrong place.
Is there a way to make sure that MacDive saves all new data each time I close the program?
Or reminds me to do so?
Bruno
Also: I noticed that when I give each of my dives a number (not repetition), and I have a detailed look at my dives in the Inspector Window where there are two buttons on the bottom of the window,
If I press on 'next dive' I do get the next one on the list, not the next dive as when they would be in order based on the dive number.
Would it be possible to give this meaning to the operation "next dive" ?

For saving, update to 2.1.3.
Next dive goes to the next dive based on however you sort them. I believe this is logical and more flexible than forcing it to jump wildly around the place to the next numbered dive. Which also wouldn't make sense when you have multiple computers with the same dive number, like I do (and many others).

But could we see this on a new release as an option in the preferences?
I personally like to see my most recent dive on top of the list.
If this is the order by which I present my dives, the 'next dive' will be the older one, and the 'previous dive' the most recent...
That doesn't sound logical to me.

Maybe I don't understand what you mean. If you want to see your most recent dive at the top, then click on the "Date" column and sort your dives by date.

Hallo,
Yes, indeed. And if I do this my dives are presented in that particular order.
But when I next select to see my dives in detail ("inspector window") then the meaning of the buttons "next dive" and "previus dive" are as I mentioned.

Right, and yes, they will respect the order you are sorted in. I just don't think using the Dive Number makes sense for that.
Maybe someone else will offer an opinion, I would be interested to see what people think.

Re: automatic Save when cosing MacDive
I see what he's saying, say you have ordered your dives by date, most recent at top. If you click on dive 100, then click on next dive, you get dive 99. It's backwards, when you click on next dive, you get the one before it.
I've never really thought about it before, just mentally telling myself that I click on next dive, it means the next dive down in the list.
That would be a hard one to resolve.
