Sorry if I'm being slow, but I just can't figure out this time zone thing.
My default time zone is "America/New_York".
I changed a bunch of dives to "Pacific/Palau", and then subsequently calculated the time difference and manually corrected every dive, but MacDive keeps changing the the time zone back to "America/New_York".
I know it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but it's bothersome that I can't define the time zone.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Re: Time Zone Madness
This shouldn't be the case, and it sounds like something is going wrong. Please email me your MacDive.sqlite file with exact instructions to replicate the behaviour you are seeing, and I'll take a look.

Re: Time Zone Madness
Done. For reference, below are the steps required to replicate the problem...
- Open the file
- Open dive #58, "Saies Corner"
- Note time: 10/2/2009 8:09:28 AM
- Change timezone from "America/New_York" to "Pacific/Palau"
- Change dive time from "9:09:28 PM" back to "8:09:28" AM
- Close the dive details window
- Select any other dive
- Reopen dive #58,
- Note the timezone has returned to "America/New_York", though the time remains as "8:09:28 AM"

Re: Time Zone Madness
For anybody else that's interested, Nick sent me a beta version that looks like it has solved this problem. So it's been fixed and is on the way!
