Import Error (MacDive - Suunto D4)

Hello,
just bought the offical suunto connecting cable for the D4 and the latest version of MacDive (2.0.4).

After installing the USB driver FTDIUSBSerialDriver_10_4_10_5_10_6
I hoped, that all this would run on may MacBookPro 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (Mac OSX 10.6.6).

The display of the Suunto watch shows "Data Transfer", but when I try to download my dives (Import / Suunto / D4) the program says:
"Import Error. Failed to read version information (Error Code: -5)"

The Mac seems to recognize the Suunto. The System Profiler utility shows under USB-Bus: Suunto Sports Instruments.

I think I tried everything: restarting the mac, disconnecting and reconnecting the watch, restarting the programm, etc.

What can I do ??
Would be very thankful for help.

Hey there,

I replied to your email which is about the same as this post, but maybe you missed it.

Have you followed the troubleshooting instructions under Help ? Sepcifically, are you using a USB hub? Do you have a low battery?

What do you get under Preferences -> Advanced -> Scan for serial port?

The next thing is to try the test application, described here:

Using the "d9" test instead of the vyper2 test. Just replace where appropriate.

I have low battery and the -5 Error Code.
Is low battery the reason for -5 error?

Before with "Full" Battery everything worked fine

It's been known to cause download problems on certain devices. Replace the battery and try downloading again.
