How to Display Number of Dives?

Post by Phoenix1 »

I've been a MacDive user for years. Just had a fairly simple question.

The number of dives column keeps renumbering periodically. Is there a way to display my dive history so that my number of dives actually displays the sum of all the dives I have logged? In other words, if someone asks me how many dives I have, shouldn't it display that number with my last dive? I realize I can select all dives and get that number; I'm just curious if there is an easier way.

Thanks.

Good day to you Phoenix1!

Are you using MacDive on an iPhone, an iPad, or a Mac?

When I am using MacDive on my Mac, the third icon in the icons above the graph or list of dives is labelled "Statistics". Clicking this icon brings up a window showing the total count of dives for the list of dives displayed in the window. For example, if I select one of the four divers that we track in the app using the Divers section in the left hand menu and then click the Statistics button it brings up a window showing the information for all the dives for that diver (Number of Dives, Dives per years, average dive length, etc. etc.). Or if I select one of the Countries from the list of Countries in the left hand menu and then click the Statistics button it shows the same statistics except only for the dives in that country.

When I am using MacDive on my iPhone, I touch the three dots in the bottom right corner of the screen, then I touch Profile. At the top of the screen it lets me know which diver is being displayed and how many dives they have listed as well as other statistics about their dives (Total Bottom Time, Deepest Dive, Longest Dive, etc.). I can touch the person icon in the top right corner to switch which diver I am looking at.

Let us know if you are not able to get either of those methods to work for you or if you are using MacDive on an iPad.

Have a great day and have fun diving!
