I'm going to jump in on this thread since I am having the exact same problem. I tried all the steps DocCarl tried and get the same error code. "Failed connecting to dive computer on serial port '/dev/tty.usbserial-20030001' (Error Code: -5)" I have the pro plus 2.1 and am running osx 10.6....
