Normalize Profile Depths

What does View->Normalize Profile Depths do (ok, so it 'normalized' the depths, but what does that mean)? I didn't see any explanation in the wiki or a thread here. I'm curious, but don't want to run it against my dives until I know what it is going to do.

It's under view, so it's a view option. It doesn't do anything to your dives.

It means that if you have a bunch of dives it will scale the graph to the depth of the deepest dive (to the nearest 5 metres or 10 feet), rather than to the same of just that dive.

You can just experiment with it. I prefer to see all of my dives relative to each other, especially within a trip/weekend. The scaling will be done based on the currently selected list of dives - so all dives, or a playlist, etc.

NP. It could probably do with a better description/name in the menu..

An entry in the wiki would be sufficient for me.
