Pro Plus 2

I'm trying to get my Pro Plus 2 to download. I've downloaded and installed the FTDIUSBSerial driver and confirmed that;
/dev/tty.usbserial-20030001 exists in the /dev folder. I followed some instructions on these boards and downloaded and chmod'ed the ostc. The log contains;
[0.000653] DATETIME 2011-07-29T23:49:41Z (1311983381)
[0.000675] REVISION 5942215cdad2a6ba2b3439463a37d20fc92afe40
[0.000680] DEVICE=/dev/tty.usbserial-20030001
[0.000684] hw_ostc_device_open
[0.015985] Timeout: value=3000
[0.016014] Flush: queue=3, input=0, output=0
[0.016035] device_dump
[0.016060] Write: timer=0, size=1, data=61, remaining=1
[3.016123] Read: timer=3000, size=1, data=00, remaining=0
[3.016195] ../../source/src/hw_ostc.c:199: Failed to receive the header.
[3.016214] ../../source/examples/hw_ostc_test.c:46: Cannot read memory.
[3.018798] SUMMARY
[3.018822] -------
[3.018828] test_dump_memory: Timeout
but not .dmp on the desktop. Not sure what to do next. The pro plus 2 has a new full battery.
Suggestions?
