is the developmenet and updating of MacDive for macOS and iOS discontinued?
Leastwise that question could be answered by the persons in charge

I don't think it's gone entirely. Nick still answers the occasional post, and (presumably) some emails here and there, but yes, this has been an issue for the last 2 years at least. No one is really sure what the future of the app is. Whatever Nick's plans are, he's not shared them with the public/forums.
I have been backing up my data into "Dive Log" which has similar functionality to MacDive, but the user interface is shit compared to MacDive. At least it's functional. If/when MacDive loses its last funcitonality, I won't suffer a terrible data loss... just frustration and a lot of cursing.
