Is it possible to find which dives I have seen a critter on previously?

Both iOS and macOS have a button to do this if you look at the critter.

I thought that I had that figured out but it wasn’t that easy. When I tap on the critter, it says that I have seen it three times but when I try to push the button, it doesn’t “react”. Here is a screen shot of what I am seeing.

I haven’t had a reply so does that mean that I won’t be able find out where/when I have seen a critter on a previous dive?

These are the buttons you're looking for, as they appear in iOS and in the desktop version of MacDive in MacOS.

Thank you for replying and sharing photos of what you are seeing in your app. However that looks very different from my screen! This is from the iOS version. Are yours from the Mac version? I don’t have the Mac version so perhaps that is the difference?

They're from both the MacOS (desktop/laptop) version and the iOS (app) version. I have dark mode enabled but otherwise it should be the same for you. If not, I would try updating to the latest version of the application/app, and if that doesn't work, delete and re-install it.

:| :| So, I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I lost all of my dives from last summer and this last trip. I assumed the app did automatic backups to iCloud. I now gather that isn’t the case? You seem pretty knowledgeable about MacDive so perhaps you can answer that?

It does back up to iCloud or dropbox if you have that feature enabled.
