Can you create more than 1 Divelog

Post by AlainBE »

Hi everyone, I am new on this forum; I just purchased MacDive.

I have successfully imported all my dives from my previously used software and played with the software. I have created 2 divers : my wife and me.

I have managed to import my wife's log as well and through the smart DiveLog, I can separate my dives from hers. However both my dives and my wife's are all mixed in the "All Dives" section, which I understand.

Hence my question: is there a way to create 2 separate Dive Logs (not Smart Dive Logs) ?

Any suggestion welcome; thank you.

It sounds like you're using the features to keep one log with both divers. You could install MacDive on her laptop/computer and keep two separate logs that way, with different iCloud logins... but then you wouldn't have both logs in once place.

Thank you for your suggestion.

I would however like to have 2 different logs on the same computer...

You can always number the dives by diver instead of sequentially, and sort them by diver that way.

Good day to all of you!

On my Mac in MacDive there is a section in the left hand navigation pane called divers that shows the dives by divers without needing to create Smart Logs. It allows us to see the dive information by diver, number of dives, bottom time, SAC, dives by year, etc.

Is that what you are looking to find?

Have a great day!
