Import Freedive info from D4?

I'm wondering if it is possible to import freedive info from a Suunto D4? I just got mine and haven't gotten to do any freediving with it yet, but hope to soon.

Second, is it possible to separate that info from the regular diving info so that it doesn't mess up the overall stats. Even better if MacDive was able to have a separate set of stats just for that.

If it helps, I have a Cobra 2 that I use for my main computer and a D4 which I just got for a secondary dive computer and freedive tracker. Thanks!

Jon

Yes, you can read all of your free dives. Actually I recently made some improvements specifically for freediving.

You can track statistics any way you like. By default you will have an entry for your cobra and for your D4 that you can view stats for separately. You can also create custom filters as simple or complex as you like and all stats are available for those too. You probably want something simple like "gas model = freedive".

There is more detail about this in the help with some screenshots etc. But basically, choose a "playlist" from the main outline on the left, and click the statistics icon in the toolbar.

Ok, that's pretty much what I was looking for I know I can use the smart filters to sort through things, I just hadn't connected that the stats would change to only what the sort shows. Makes sense! I just handn't gotten to try any of it yet and wasn't sure if they would be numbered with all my regular dives when imported.

Do only the air/nitrox dives get numbered on import or do the freedive sessions get numbered as well?

Thanks,
Jon

All the dives get numbered based on the dive computer. So your D4 dives will be numbered independently. You can specify a starting offset under Gear.

This may not be ideal for how you dive though.

Edit: Thinking about it, I may need to add a preference to swap between either the current behaviour, or just numbering all dives incrementally according to the next highest dive number.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
