Sync images to desktop folder

Could MacDive use a hotfolder (maybe in dropbox) to automatically import images from?
And could MacDive reimport images if they have been altered/updated?
The reason I propose this, is that I - like many others - use Lightroom to edit and store UW images. In Lightroom it is really easy to eksport images to a predefined folder, and republish them if they have been updated.
This would make it possible to control the images from your Image software. Since the export contains metadata, the images could be imported to the correct dive profile - and the captions could be visible in MacDive for OS X and IOS as well.
