Hello there,

I've just released a new version.

New Features:
  • Added support for the Heinrichs Weikamp OSTC cR.
  • Added support for the Oceanic F10/Aeris F10 v3.
  • Much improved support for EON Steel.
  • Various OSTC parsing improvements, primarily for CCR dives.
  • Sites that have no dives now use a different flag on the sites map view.
  • Add option to trim trailing surface samples from Shearwater Petrel dives.
  • Added some new information to XML export (format slightly modified).
  • Available Gases/Tanks are now sorted by name.
  • Added PPO2 column to the raw data table.
  • Improved support for future versions of OS X.
  • Minor performance improvements.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue reading ppo2 from AV1 devices.
  • Fixed an issue reading profiles from an OSTC in case of bailout.
  • Fixed an issue setting gas duration when using OSTC bottom time.
  • Fixed some data issues reading from a VT4.1.
  • Fixed a bug where the profile graph could display incorrectly on deep dives.
  • Fixed incorrect statistics when displaying no dives.
  • Fixed some minor UI bugs.
  • Fixed bug downloading “Last Settings” with no last device available.
  • Fixed issue where some sites may not display correctly after an import.
  • Fixed issue exporting dive sites in some cases.
  • Fixed an issue duplicating dives.
  • Fixed some build issues.
This should resolve the issues people have been seeing related to "Unknown Developer". Sorry about that, please let me know if you see this again. Thanks to everyone who was providing test data and helping test this stuff! Much appreciated.

Yes, the new stuff is coming. I have some (very awesome) beta testers right now! I will be looking for a broader audience shortly.

Note that this version is no longer compatible with OS X 10.6. This is somewhat accidental and caused by a preemptive fix made for OS X 10.11, but support would have been dropped in short order anyway due to cloud features that require 10.7+.

If you are on 10.6 then for now you should not update, stick with 2.3.7.

I just returned from a dive trip with My Atmos AI and updated MacDive before downloading... it is not finding any new dives...
I choose the option to import all dives, still reports no new dives...
I delete the mac dive folder and try to download fresh... still says no new dives...
I think this update has something to do with it... could you please help me?
I'm running OS 10.10.4
Thanks very much

... Also, anyway to go back to the older version of Mac Dive while a fix is found, if any...

Nothing changed related to an Atmos AI. I'll double-check after work tonight that no debug stuff made it in, though, as I was doing some work in that area.

Thanks for the report. Please drop me an email and mention this thread, so I can get you a new version to test and make sure nothing is wrong.

Ok, I believe I have fixed this. I have hot fixed version 2.3.8, so you can download a fresh version and hopefully it works as expected.

Please give it a shot and let me know if that resolves the issue!

Apologies. I believe the term for what I did is "special".

Hi Nick,

I installed the latest update to MacDive and now I'm unable to download any data from my Oceanic Pro Plus 3. Whenever I click to download I get the following error message: Failed connecting to dive computer on serial port '/dev/tty.usbserial-20030001' (Error Code: -7). I've rebooted my computer and it still won't download. The USB recognizes the dive computer as I get the PC interface screen and the countdown timer begins. I tried a download with the Oceanic program (DiverLog) and it downloaded without a problem so I assume that the USB serial port is operating correctly. I did not experience any problems with downloads prior to the latest release. Any ideas?

Everything was fine, I updated and now my computer cannot locate any serial port with my Mares ICON HD. It is attached properly and just as it was before.

Very frustrating when updates don't help, they make it more difficult.

John

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear that. We've been providing free updates with new features for all users for many years, but it's always frustrating when you run in to trouble.

As for this update, nothing actually changed with regards to an Icon HD, so it is doubtful it's anything to do with the update. More likely it's low battery, a bad cable, or some other issue. I would suggest starting there, and if you continue to have problems, please email support.

Thanks, and sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the update.

Thank you.
