Hi there,
I know the Oceanic VTX isn't on the supported list yet, but I have been told it is just an Aeris A300CS rebadged due to the Oceanic/Aeris merger.
Has anyone had any success in downloading dives from either of these computers? If so, did you use Bluetooth or the supplied USB cable?
I have tried both Bluetooth and USB (on the VTX) and not sure if it is failing due to either of those methods, and or the fact that there might be some slight differences between the VTX and the A300CS which hasn't been catered for as yet.
Any help / advice would be appreciated.
regards,
Paul.

It works differently to the A300 CS. We are looking in to it.

Re: Oceanic VTX
If you have a VTX, you can help us to get it supported! Download the vtx test application. It's a commandline application, which you need to run with these options:
Replace <serialport> with the correct serial port. It's the same as you would use from macdive. Once the download is finished send me the atom2.bin and atom2.log files.
Code: Select all
chmod +x vtx
./vtx -v -l atom2.log -m atom2.bin -b atom2 <serialport>

Cheers - the next time I visit my LDS I'll borrow the unit again and have a try.
I assume you mean a connection via cable, and not bluetooth?
(and does serial port typically take the form /dev/tty.XXX-SerialPort ?

Re: Oceanic VTX
I have just built a new version of MacDive that supports the VTX. If you're interested in testing it out please drop me an email.
Re: Oceanic VTX
Does Macdive support bluetooth transfers with the VTX? - thanks
