Can not connect to ATMOS AI dive computer via USB

I have attempted to download and install the USB drivers for this dive computer. Actually went thru the install dialog and it seemed to finish successfully. Connected the ATMOS USB cable to dive computer and the USB port on my MAC laptop. There dialog box cam back and had an error code 7. I receive the following error message:
Failed connecting to dive computer on serial port '/dev/tty.usbserial-20030001' (Error Code: -7)

Is your device in PC transfer mode? That, or having the cable plugged in upside down, are the most common reasons for this error. On some devices the cable fits both ways but will only work one way.

I am not sure I know how to put it into transfer mode. Using the software that shipped with the device that I installed on a PC, I don't think that I had to put it into transfer mode. I will review the user manual to see if it outlines how to put into transfer mode. I tried the cable both ways with the same results.

Does it automatically go in to a countdown when you plug it in? If so, you don't need to do anything.
One other thing to try is simply rebooting. Sometimes after installing the USB driver this helps, to ensure everything started up correctly.

I did finally find the transfer mode for the Atmos AI and successfully downloaded the accumalated dives. Thanks Nick for your assistance!
