Hi Nick,
when I add an buddy and its name starts with an german umlaut (ä, ö, ü) the system will use a , o, u sat the first letter. If you type ä, ö, u again as secant letter it will work.
It is kind of strange, because in the official 2.3.2 version I have seen this issue the other was round I typed Johannes and it was set as Jöhannes.
