Dive Duration out of sync

I own an Atomic Aquatics Cobalt and I've noticed a time discrepancy during the download/sync process. The data display for dive duration on the Cobalt reflects a number that is always one minute greater than the dive duration that is imported and displayed on the MacDive program. I've reviewed all of my dives and it's consistently one minute off for each and every dive. I know that there is a certain amount of rounding that takes place but neither display reflects seconds (only minutes) so I'm not sure why I'm losing a minute on every dive. How can I correct for this import discrepancy?
Thanks

There are different ways to record the bottom time. Some devices record it from before your descent, others from when you hit the surface. The Cobalt actually appends a couple of minutes of surface samples at the end, and MacDive cuts this off as it is just data while you are on the surface (ie, your dive is over).
There's nothing wrong, it is by design.

Thank you for your prompt reply and explanation of the data capture process between my Cobalt and your Dive Log Program.
For the record, I've been using MacDive for quite some time and I'm still impressed and satisfied with the program, as well as the product improvement process and tech support through this forum.

Oops, I meant *ascent* up there, not descent. Yep, it's just chopping a bit off - which makes the dive durations more consistent with other devices. I usually have a couple, so it keeps my Cobalt times more similar to my other devices.
