I'm getting an "Import Error: Failed to read header information (error code: -7)" message when trying to download dives that have not been downloaded (tried downloading new dives too)

Mountain Lion 10.8.2
MacDive 2.1.8
Suunto Mosquito
Mosquito is in transfer mode and the serial port is selected

Worked fine last time I tried this a few months ago. Upgraded to ML since and reinstalled drivers for the serial port.
Any help is appreciated.

Is the cable connected properly? Do you have low battery? Are you using a USB hub? Does the transfer work in the official Suunto software?

Etc. Mostly from the help, under troubleshooting downloads (http://www.mac-dive.com/help).

yes, the cable is connected properly.
No to the low battery.
No to the USB hub.
Downloaded Suunto DM4 - successfully downloaded dives.
Still didn't work on macdive - scanning serial port showed no port - it was there previously
reinstalled serial drivers
then successfully downloaded dives.
