That would be great. Try and make sure to change your set points etc, the things that will be recorded!
When you're back flick me an email - shouldn't be any need for DropBox, the file should be quite small but I'll let you know how to produce it and send it to me once you're back (it's very easy, and semi-automatic).

Re: CCR with MacDive: Request for suggestions
I'm really looking forward to seeing what this produces.
For CCR dives I use a VR3 which I can't download; the idea of sending Nick data from a CCR computer is a fantastic one to help get things started. Wish I'd thought of it

Yeap, great idea. I sadly can't contribute right now because my iMac doesn't "find" my predator.... For some reason I can't make the bluetooth work to download the predator's log book.......

Mine works fine - how are you trying to download, and what have you done? Don't touch any of the Mac bluetooth stuff. Just enable Bluetooth on the Predator itself and then tell MacDive to download it.
Also, you don't want to pair it with OS X, as this will treat it differently. If you've already done that you may need to clear the settings. Last question: Why are you posting on Christmas Day? And I suppose, why am I replying to you??
Have a great holiday! I'll be around on and off - it's been a long year and I'm going to relax for a couple of days before looking at some MacDive improvements.

Can you send a memory dump from your Predator and Petrel? Instructions are available in this topic.CFU wrote:Ok, I'll be happy to help. I'll be on a vacation diving ccr for the next 3 weeks from Thursday on and will produce quite some data as well as have the time to upload it and add some notes to it so you will understand somewhat more about the values and terminology. I will upload the stuff on my Dropbox account and send you the link via email if that is ok for you?

Just ignore Jef on this and email me, there's an easier way to do this and I'll pass it on to him.

If there is an easier method than running the libdivecomputer test application, then that works for me too of coursenick wrote:Just ignore Jef on this and email me, there's an easier way to do this and I'll pass it on to him.

Re: CCR with MacDive: Request for suggestions
Well I've tried to connect the predator to my iMAC and shearwater desktop so I could edit the 2 text line that are available on the predator with the V46 update.
I haven't tired to connect it with Mac Dive but I shall do that one of these days.
And I was writing on chrismas because I was at work with nothing to do......
Have a nice holidays.

Re: CCR with MacDive: Request for suggestions
Hmm, it seems I cannot make it work. I've re-read the predator manual and I didn't find anywhere to enable the bluetooth so I'm thinking it's on permanently. But since Mac Dive doesn't find the predator I'm assuming the bluetooth is not on....
I'm at a loss.... it's no big deal since I download my dives from my OSTC but still I hate it when I cannot figure something out and I'll be stuck when a new software upgrade will be available....

Main Menu -> Dive Log -> Upload Log
Hit "Upload" and it will enable Bluetooth mode.
