Air Start numbers disappear after changing tank

I downloaded some dives from my Suunto HelO2 and then discovered that I didn't have my default tank set correctly.
The HelO2 is air-integrated, so I expect to see air consumption (or gas consumption) under Gas Management.
When I first did the download, I looked under Gas Management and saw values for Air Start, Air End, and Air Used. When I switched to the correct tank under Tanks used on this dive, however, the air data disappeared.
I suspect that this is a "deliberate" bug that was introduced with the latest update. The software can add or remove tanks from a dive, but it can't change to another tank without wiping out the data it had for the old tank. So, if I remove tank "Aluminum 80" and replace it with tank "Steel 100", the software removes all the data for the old tank.
This is a hassle. It means I have to set the tank in MacDive before I download. Even worse, MacDive doesn't warn me if I try to modify the tank.
For computers with multiple mixes, it would be great to allow MacDive to associate a tank with a mix, so that my "Mix1" will convert to EAN 32 if I so choose. At the least, MacDive should warn me before a download to set my default tank first, and should not allow me to modify the tank once I've downloaded.
Sorry if this isn't clear. I'm new to MacDive, and handling the various possible options of tank and mix can't be easy.
