Sorry I tried reading a few posts and reading the trouble FAQ but still cant figure this out.
I have a Mackbook Pro running OS X 10.6.8
I uploaded the drivers your site indicates. and ran them.
re booted.
connect Veo 3.0 cable to mac and Veo 3.0 and try to download my recorded dives.
I get the following
Failed connecting to dive computer on serial port '/dev/tty.usbserial-20030001' (Error Code: -5)
any help appreciated.
cheers STeveP

Most likely is that the device has low battery or is plugged in upside down. Not sure what the Veo connector looks like, but I always plug my VT4 one in upside down. Make sure it is connected the right way.
Make sure it does not have low battery, and the contacts are not wet.

Is the device in transfer mode (if that does not happen automatically) ?
Does the download work in windows via Oceanlog?

Got it figured out. Thanks guys. Took a while but it is basically a really crappy connector interface. I havd to hold the connector into the Veo applying pressure but then it works. And this is the $100 Oceanic Connector. got to admit for the cost of the Veo 3.0 and this connector I would have hoped for a better interface.
They should probably cosider Bluetooth.
Really likeing the software so far. and as I am only just starting out this should be a great log method.

Ya, some of them aren't the best. Glad you got it working though - thanks for the update.
