Sorry to bug you with this recurring problem but I cannot get my dives off the Oceanic VT Pro. I have no issue doing the same with my VT PRO 3 so I'm not that dumb. On a recent trip, my VT Pro 3 died and I made 20 dives on my VT PRO which was my backup so I need to get these dives into my logbook PLEASE.
I've downloaded the most up to date software and restarted computer.
Cord is set into the computer correctly
I refreshed the serial port in the preferences
I get the typical error message (screeshot enclosed).
System: iMAC 10.10.3
Can you please lend a hand?
Thank you
VT PRO Problem
Re: VT PRO Problem
Reading the forums I tryped this in Terminal:
ls /dev/tty.*
and this is what I got:
Rezas-iMac-27:~ rezagorji$ ls /dev/tty.*
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port /dev/tty.usbserial-20030001
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-Modem
Thanks
ls /dev/tty.*

Rezas-iMac-27:~ rezagorji$ ls /dev/tty.*
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port /dev/tty.usbserial-20030001
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-Modem
Thanks

Re: VT PRO Problem
Hi there,
That is fine. The most likely reasons for this are:
1. The VT Pro is not in PC Transfer mode.
2. The VT Pro has low battery.
3. The cable is not connected properly or is upside down (I don't recall what the cable looks like - your VT3 one, however, only works one way. Ensure this is not the case).
4. If they use separate cables, make sure only one is plugged in at a time, otherwise it can confuse which one is being used.

Re: VT PRO Problem
Well that may explain it. I assuming that the oceanic cables for both computers are the same. But will look into this. The other points made is not the case here.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Re: VT PRO Problem
Oceanic tech support confirmed that the cables for the 2 computers are different thus solving the dilemna I was facing.
