Failed to read header information (Error Code: -7)

I get this error message when I try to download my dives.

1) The dive watch is in transfer mode
2) Just had it serviced, so it has a new battery.

Not sure what else is needed..... or how to troubleshoot. help!

Someone the other day had an issue where they had selected transfer mode in the menu, but not pressed select again to actually initiate the transfer mode. Are you properly selecting it?

Are the cable contacts clean and dry? Have you had a read of Troubleshooting Downloads in the help? Are you on the latest version of MacDive? Have you tried the transfer a few times?

Yes it is in transfer mode. TR-PC and AWC.

Cables are clean and dry. Computer see the serial port and so does MacDive 2.2.2. I do have the latest version of MacDive. I'm on Lion 10.8.3 i7 processor. I've gone thru the troubleshooting suggestions posted. I've reset the Mac and re-install drivers too. Nada...

Using the "vyper" test and email both Jef and I the results to take a look at.

Ran the instruction on the page. Had to use the 'solution' executable because there is no Stinger version of it.

It only produced the LOG file, which said among other things 'Cannot read memory' test_dump_memory Timeout.

I'm emailing you both the log file, and looking forward to your reply.

As instructed, use the "vyper" test.

I will continue this conversation over email sicne you already contacted me there, rather than in two places.
