2.1.7 Update Available

Post by nick »

Hey all,

Another update. Mostly behind the scenes speed improvements and the like, but there are a couple new features too.

New Features:
Added support for the Shearwater Petrel.
Added retina manufacturer logos.
Added ability to delete tags from the Dive Inspector.
Added ability to double click the bar graphs under statistics to view their dives.
Added ability to print Certifications.
Minor update to downloading from an Oceanic OCS.
General Statistics redesign.
Performance optimisations.

Bug Fixes:
Fixed a crash when trying to create a new site in certain cases.
Fixed a few memory leaks.
Fixed issue reading surface interval from a VT4.
Fixed a bug changing dive date/time in certain cases.
Fixed flag poles on the maps to be anchored at the correct location.

Enjoy, and you know what to do!

After updating to 2.1.7 the application crashes at launch and displays the debugger code window from apple.
Can't get the application open.
Help!

Is there a crash report? Email it to me, and email me your MacDive.sqlite data.

If you are running Mountain Lion 10.8.1, upgrade to 10.8.2

Looks like I introduced an issue for those running Snow Leopard. You can download a fixed version here:

http://www.mac-dive.com/downloads/MacDive_SL.zip

This doesn't cause a crash on my Snow Leopard machine for some reason which is why I didn't pick it up in testing, but seems to crash for everyone else. I'll get this patched and released officially tonight but for now the fixed version will resolve the issue.

Apologies for the inconvenience!

This should be resolved now for any updates. If you had already downloaded it and have issues, drop me an email.
