Pressure

Post by bvanant »

Just downloaded 3 dives from my Cobra. I get a starting pressure and an ending pressure and the program calculates a SAC rate but no SAC data are in the raw columns. Also no temperature data (again) even though this time the starting and ending temps are known. How do I get the pressure data into the Mac?

The cobra does not store pressure or temperature per sample, only starting/ending.

That clearly is NOT true. I have in my Mac-Dive data base, hundreds of dives downloaded from Suunto software that have pressure data for each sample point. Here are some data from a dive

360, 62.01, 2623.81, (null)
390, 58.01, 2587.78, (null)
420, 66.99, 2551.75, (null)
450, 74.02, 2515.72, (null)
480, 79.00, 2479.70, (null)
510, 79.99, 2443.67, (null)

from Mac-Dive raw data. So now I am totally confused.

If it is a Cobra 1, the original, then it does not store pressure per sample. Suunto Dive Manager does make that information up though, and in SDM you'll basically see a straight line from start to end pressure.

If you have a Cobra 2 or 3, then yes it does. But not the original.

Thanks, I never looked at the data carefully, just assumed that it was real.
