Import dives via simple XLS / CSV file

Hi all,
first of all I like to say that macDive is great and works seamless with my Suunto D9.

here my request: I have a lot of old handwritten log books which I would like to import into MacDve. To keep it easy i like to capture all the stuff into an easy XLS file, clean it up and then finally import everything neatly into Mac Dive.
I know there is a File Download / Import function but how must the format etc. look like? Any recommendation is appreciated.

Export a udcf file, then use that as a template for importing dives.
