Hi,
I am transferring macs but i cant find the file which i am supposed to copy into the system to ensure that my macdive is the activated one.
can anyone help with this.

The license file is saved to "Download" folder by default or per browser setting.

Good day to you dp4610yz!
The licence file that we have for MacDive ends in .mdlicense. I would suggest searching for that file on your old machine. If you can find it then you should be able to activate the version you download to your new machine.

When in Macdive, go to the settings. Under "General" at the very bottom, you see "Show Macdive folder in Finder". This opens the folder where the license sits. As said before, it ends in ".mdlicense".
