I love MacDive!!
I know dive numbers can be changed. Recently, I found a lost logbook and can add 50 more dives to my current, starting at #600. (I am currently up to 860, btw.)
If I change 600 to 650 will all the other numbers be subsequentially changed or do I have to do all the others individually?
I would have tried it but don't want to corrupt this important data.
Advice appreciated.

No, you need to use the renumber feature to do that:

Re: Update/increase Dive Numbers
much thanks.
So, I just change the one number (650) and all subsequuent dive numbers will be changed?
No chance of ruining the log?

I had a few beers when I wrote that feature. It may do as described, or it may delete all your dives - I haven’t tried it in a while.
There’s always Undo though.
