I'm test-driving the demo of MacDive and I'm currently using DiveLogDT.
When I try to import my log from DiveLog into MacDive I'm unable to select the database *.sql file.
MacDive will only let me select *.xml files. Is this a trial limitation?
What do I need to do to get my database imported?
I'm considering switching over, but first I would like to see what information will be retained while converting from DiveLog to MacDive.
importing from DiveLogDT no sql filetype permitted?

You should be able to just drag/drop it on to read it?

Hi there. Found this thread which seemed to resolve the issue for the initiator but followed your advice which doesn't seem to work for me.
When I drag and drop the sql file I get an Import Complete message, with 0 dives imported. I am using the trial version at the moment and the sql file contains more than the 5 dives allowed. If I can resolve and import the data then I am happy to purchase.
Tried to attach file through forum but sql type not permitted
Cheers

Hi,
My first guess would be that the file has no dives in it? Hard to say without further info, though. If you email it to support I will take a look at it.
Thanks.

Re: importing from DiveLogDT no sql filetype permitted?
Hi there. Awhile ago I asked about importing an sql database into Mac-Dive which you replied to. Turns out my dives weren't from DiveLogDT but from DiverLog Lite. I have the dives viewable in this program and wondering now whether there is anyway to bring into Mac-Dive. I have a backup of the database which restores into DiverLog LITE successfully but I can't seem to find away to export with this version in a format useable by Mac-Dive. Any thoughts on how we can get the data into Mac-Dive

Email me the database. I can do a one-off conversion for you.
