iOS Sync/Back up and beyond

Hi,
I have just started using MacDive etc and I was wondering if there were any plans to use iCloud for syncing and not just backup? I can upload to Cloud, restore, import etc, but I can't seem to 'upload' from MacDive and then 'download' to my iPad?
This would potentially solve a lot of the sync issues that I have been reading about due to limitations of public WiFI etc?
