Unmanifolded twins air consumption

Post by jarold »

Hi Nick,

I've recently started experimenting with twins, starting first with my two 12 litre steels with twinning bands & no manifold which is working out pretty well but I have a question as to how to accurately record my air consumption.

I started with 260 bar in one & 245 in the other & breathed them down alternately by around 50 bar throughout the dive, ending with 160 in one and 145 in the other. How do I record this in MacDive as it wants to know how long I breathed each & I don't know, what I need I think is for the total amount of air consumed to be added from each cylinder & the consumption based on that.

I see there is a flag called double tank but I think that is for manifolded tanks. Perhaps the answer, as some seem to have done is to create a tank that is Twin 12s & record total gas of 505 & end gas of 305?

Kind Regards

This is essentially the same problem as sidemount and is not currently supported. It will be in a future update.
