You'll need the "darwin" test application.

Can you try the windows version of the test application?

What type of cable are you using? The official Suunto cable, Smartinterface, customidea, or a DIY version?

It's supposed to work without any dives too. But devices without any dives are rather rare (for obvious reasons), and thus this rare condition is less tested compared to downloading with dives. Anyway, I have your data and will look into it, but it's not the highest priority because it works for you...

This is definitely the wrong serial port. As far as I know, the iconhd always shows up as '/dev/tty.usbmodem01234561' .

Can you follow the instructions in this topic, to generate a detailed logfile?
