Re: Photos stored inside the app not a link

Yeah a few people have requested it, unfortunately the database size gets really large which is going to be a real pain for debugging if I need people to send it over, but it definitely makes it easier in terms of backing up just one file. Cheers for the link - I've got code I wrote a while back lyi...

Re: Logbook printouts

Yeah. It's not something I've had any requests for, but then, the buddies in 1.5.3 are really just nothing - just a string. In 2.0.0 it's a little different so there's definitely scope to expand on it.

Re: N2ition 3, UWATEC, Viper

Actually, that's not strictly true - if you look around the forums, Rob has written a tool to convert JTrak files to UDCF. So you could potentially import your uwatec data to their JTrak software, then convert to macdive from there. Not an ideal solution but if the Uwatec is what you're after it's o...

Re: Logbook printouts

Not me. :) I meant more for your own card, and to then have it accessible in macdive - otherwise I'd still have to maintain a list of divers/buddies and their associated cards. Though, to be honest, that's no big deal really.

Re: Logbook printouts

It's no problem to add back - I just realised that I hadn't actually done it. There are other export options, one of which is a new XML format that I just hacked together which is a little more flexible than UDCF. So it's not like you can't get your data out (and if you're brave you can always just ...

Re: Logbook printouts

I like this idea. One line with dive #, Date, Time, Location, Gas, Max Depth, and buddy. THat way you can print a page or two as a log to take with you on a trip. Oh, and on that note dive numbering???? A specific place rather than the first thing in the notes page as I have been using. There's alr...

Re: Graph Notes

I actually wrote some code a while back to move the icons on the graph, it worked pretty well but I removed it. As usual, I took the stance that the app is more "a view of your dive computer", hence a lot of the poor design decisions ;) But for 2.0 it makes a little more sense I guess. I t...

Re: Dive Number

There are better ways to track cumulative time, though. MD2 has a bunch of new ways to view and sort your data - so filtering by a specific year (or month, or day) is all possible (and very easy). This gives you a view of those dives, like any other view in the application, along with total numbers ...

Re: N2ition 3, UWATEC, Viper

Deciding on a new computer because the Gekko is not a downloadable computer. Leaning mostly towards the N2ition 3 because my LDS has it in stock and for a good price. But I have also recently seen the UWATEC w/wireless transmitter for sale for right around the same place. Does the MACDive work on N...
