Re: Adding a new Smart Divelog
Well, but yeahbut ... iTunes hasn't won any awards for being the best user interface. ;-) And although it's true that adding a divelog in MacDive works the same way as adding a playlist in iTunes, that doesn't make it intuitive or convenient (or consistent with the appropriate Mac convention). In fa...

Re: Adding a new Smart Divelog
Three small things ... Please make it possible to enter the dive log name when I am defining a smart log. As it is now, I have to wait until I complete the log, then click on the name in the left panel, then click several times to highlight only the first word (leaving the word divelog), then type ...

Re: Can't download to COBALT
Ah, so Computers on the left is like a SmartDiveLog ... maybe it should be listed under that grouping as a pre-defined dive logs, with a distinctive logo. I thought the panel on the left was a list of categories of things to be displayed, but other than the first grouping ("Library"), tho...

Does MacDive use Mac-standard window functions?
I use a handy little product called MenuEverywhere (http://www.binarybakery.com/menueverywhere.html) that displays the current app's menu in the title bar for the currently active window. This is particularly nice if you like to have a large screen with multiple apps open and don't want to go to the...

Re: Can't download to COBALT
OK, I've zeroed everything out and reloaded the dives from both computers. All looks good now. A few minor usabillity nits ... 1. Under Computers, MacDive doesn't distinguish between my computer and my wife's. Yes, each dive is properly logged with the diver name, but it would seem that the same co...

Re: Can't download to COBALT
Super ... thanks for the additional info. I have yet to try downloading from my dive computer, but it appears that MacDive is confusing my computer with my wife's. That is, I have downloaded 9 dives for my wife, and they look fine. When I look at her computer under GEAR, and "view dives on thi...
