Re: a definite question:
is the developmenet and updating of MacDive for macOS and iOS discontinued? Leastwise that question could be answered by the persons in charge :?: I don't think it's gone entirely. Nick still answers the occasional post, and (presumably) some emails here and there, but yes, this has been an issue f...

Re: Will MacDive has a future?
I just did an export of my 470+ dives to be safe and have a backup. I tried to import into subsurface to see how it works. I exported mine to "Dive Log". It's better than nothing, and better than paper, but obviously not as good as MacDive. At least I won't have a catastrophic loss of dat...

Re: Shearwater Swift GPS
I'm not holding my breath, but it should be noted that Nick himself uses a Shearwater computer. Perhaps that could be enough incentive to develop functionality for the Swift GPS.

Re: Altitude & Depth
Not for a site you have not yet dived, or a site that can be either recreational or technical. Just because you've dived the site before doesn't mean you went to the sand, or saw everything in there there was to see.
I want to research a site before I dive it, if possible.

Altitude & Depth
In sites, there's a numerical field for altitude, but not depth. I realize it's not going to change.
But still, does anyone else think the depth vs. altitude is weird?

Re: Unable to sync to dropbox with iPhone
I submitted a support request to Nick on 12-May-2025 and is still unanswered. Not just a post in the forum, mind you -- via email. It seems to me even a "not sure why that's happening but to be honest it doesn't sound that intrusive so just keep me posted" response is better than no respon...

Re: .dmg won't open
What OS version are you using? From https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255759797?sortBy=rank Follow the order exactly: Open up System Settings In System Settings, navigate to "Privacy & Security". Leave Window Open in the Background Open up Terminal (as separate window). DO NOT CLOSE...

Re: Sort gear by purchase date
That currently exists in the iOS version of MacDive.
You can do it in the MacOS version as well. Switch the Gear list to be the list format rather than icons. Then toggle the Purchase Date column as desired.

Re: Updating Site GPS
Click hold & drag only seems to work at specific zoom levels and it does not include any gps coordinates. I too am struggling how to enter GPS coordinates. There seem to be no instructions on format etc. would be cool if app could simply utilize google earth gps coordinates… Thoughts or feedbac...

I second the request.
